Event Planning and Coordination

Growing up, I always felt a sense of excitement deep in my bones when attending a birthday party, graduation, school dance, sorority function, induction, or festival. From receiving an invitation in the mail to seeing fun promotions leading up to the event, it was always something I found joy in - the details. Luckily, I chose a career path that gave me opportunities to coordinate events. Below, you will find a compilation of events I have managed from 2022 to 2023.

The expo is a crucial opportunity for new and seasoned Realtors® to find business partners. With 50 unique vendors related to the real estate industry, this themed event is interactive for attendees and vendors with giveaways and a best booth competition. Vendors took their visitors on a road trip across the country with the theme "Destination USA." Volunteers wore bright green T-shirts as pictured above to ensure people attending the expo knew who and where to ask questions.

The gala is the premier event for the Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS®. In Jan. 2023, over 500 hundred Realtors® gathered under the rocket at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center to celebrate each other and the induction of the HAAR and valleymls.com Board of Directors. This masquerade ball was one for the books. Decorative masks were the focal point that inspired the logo I designed for the event. Many attendees were decked out in unique masks for the occassion.

Prime Time TV - the 2022 Realtor® Expo boasted distinctive hit TV shows at each vendor booth. This exhibition, held in the concourse at Trash Pandas Stadium was a hit. With over 400 Realtors® and families coming through the concourse, attendees enjoyed seeing some of their favorite TV shows "live." HAAR held an information desk called "The Today Show." HAAR staff dressed as news anchors/talent in alignment with the theme as pictured above.

The Starkville Evening of Wishes (SEOW) is the largest fundraising event in North Mississippi benefitting Make-A-Wish Mississippi. With a goal to grant seven wishes for critically ill children in North MS, the SEOW exceeded that goal granting over 16 wishes to local Wish Kids. The average cost of a wish is 6,500. With an engaging live and silent auction and critical corporate sponsorships, the gala raised 110% of its projected net profits.

My passion for planning makes me a stickler for accuracy when it comes to events. I follow the five P's (prior planning prevents poor performance) and always consider the audience first when developing an event "brand."
